What is ‘Mastering’?
Mastering is the last chance at enhancing any details for the overall track(s) For example; an album is poorly mastered, if the volume jumps up and down whenever a new track is playing. Consistency in volume is key to one of the functions that mastering serves.
Besides perfecting the volume, you may find that your tracks needs more balance frequency-wise. Maybe it needs even more sparke in the top frequency-range or a bigger low end.
Simply put; Mastering is the last sparkle you can apply to your tracks, before releasing them to the world!
